                                                 Screen Views 

Now for a closer view of Accounting Professional.  Immediately upon opening the software, it provides you with actions you can click on that take you directly to the action you want to handle for your business.

If you click on “Close” the next screen you will see is an overall view of your Company called a Dashboard and it is all customizable so you can remove or add content.  This screen is showing Profitability over your desired timeframe, Reminders such as Overdue Invoices, etc, Cash Flow chart over your desired timeframe, Account Balances of your choosing, Vendors to Pay, Overdue Customers plus much more.  It is a very helpful picture of your business at a glance.  You can even click on any of the items to drill down and see the details.

On the lower left of the screen, your business is divided into “compartments”, such as, Customers, Vendors, Employees, Banking, Online Sales, Reports and Resource Center.  At the top  is the Menu bar, you will see these same compartments and you will find the Accounting Software also includes a Fixed Asset Manager for Depreciation of your business’ Fixed Assets (equipment, furniture, etc.).

Each of the “compartments” within your business provides you with a natural work progression.  Let’s look at the Customer screen.

If your business uses quotes, you would select “New Quote” and proceed with filling in the information.  Quotes can easily be converted into a Sales Order, which easily converts to an Invoice seamlessly at the click of a button.  Your business can send any of your forms via email or print to mail – it is your choice.

Let’s look at the Vendor screen.

 Other Financial Accounting Software struggle with the proper handling of Purchase Orders.  With Microsoft Accounting software, Purchase Orders are readily available and the system looks to your Inventory to know how much is in stock.  When the items are received from your vendor, you click a button called Receive Items and your Inventory is properly updated and now you can easily set up a Bill to pay your Vendor once you receive their bill plus the system reminds you when it is time to pay.  The reminder displays on the Dashboard and your credit rating soars and your buying power increases.

We will skip ahead to the Reports screen.

Microsoft Accounting software contains a smorgasbord of reports.  On the left of the screen Reports are grouped for ease of selecting the type of information you want to review.  Each group contains a list of related Reports.  As you can see above, the Company and Financial report group has 13 reports.  When you click on the report, a sample view is shown on the right of the screen, so you can visually see if the right report was selected.  Then you can Display the report and decide if you want to Modify report.  Over 70 reports are immediately available to you.  You have unlimited ability to modify and create new reports, as well as export them to Excel or Access for further analysis and create even more Custom Reports.

You know the Microsoft reputation, what is not to like?  Microsoft is relatively new to the Home-based or Small Business Financial Accounting world.  That means two things for you and your business.  The cost of purchasing these systems are either Free or less than half the cost of other providers.   Microsoft has included ease of use due to its intuitive handling and in some cases, handles complex actions for you.  Microsoft made it all so beautifully understandable you will wonder why you are handling your financials the hard way, and you can stay informed about your business at the click of a button.
